儒家理想人格对当代大学生人生观的启示

儒家理想人格是儒家整个思想体系的重要内容,其睿智的人生哲理对当代大学生的人生观教育具有启迪作用。从德治观、义利观、刚健观来研究儒家理想人格对大学生人生观的影响及其当代价值,以期儒家理想人格与现代社会能够同构契合和相互优化,为中国社会主义建设培养更多德才兼备的接班人。     

坚韧性人格研究进展

1979年美国心理学家Kobasa提出坚韧性人格概念,指人格中保护个体健康免受压力影响的方面。坚韧性人格的相关研究在国外非常活跃,但在国内却鲜见。对国外的相关研究进行分析 ,介绍了坚韧性人格的含义及研究进展,指出了坚韧性研究中存在的不足并对未来研究提出了自己的看法。     

隐逸中儒家诗人的生命情态——杜甫草堂时期诗歌所体现的心态与文化探析

杜甫在草堂时期,虽然志在隐逸,但潜抑的济世思想仍然直接或间接地表现出来,尤其是济世思想与隐逸之志的矛盾使诗人的人格形象表现出"狂人"、"囚人"、"幽人"的变化,呈现出不同的心态和情怀.文中进一步探究了其中深层的文化心理根源是诗人的道统人格与高层权势之间的矛盾斗争的反映.     

论国家表现的国格

国家国格的内涵包括国家与本国公民的国格行为;一国对另一国公民的国格行为;国家与国家之间的国格行为;国家对国际社会的国格行为.认识国家国格具有重大的现实意义和深远的政治意义.     

Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation in Personality: Assessing Knowledge Profiling and the Work Preference Inventory in a Thai Population

Abstract

Personality trait theories are often used to identify particular personality or behavioural characteristics of potential employees by human resource management departments. However, this can be enhanced by understanding how motivation plays a role in personality, and particularly within the context of knowledge-based personality processes. The paper draws on knowledge management theory called Knowledge Profiling (KP) in which a theoretical construct has been developed representing personality through a set of three traits and their polar values. This model has previously been linked to the trait theory of personality called Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). This research adopts KP, develops its linkage with MBTI, and elaborates on its connection with motivation. The resulting model, referred to as Knowledge Profiling Motivational (KPM) model, is developed by connecting it with the Work Preference Inventory (WPI), which assesses individual differences in Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivational orientations. Analysis indicates that KPM is an improvement on the KP model in representing personality. Moreover, the research suggests that personality traits are not limited to a bipolar relationship but that there are relationships between traits as well.     

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder in Community College Students

Abstract

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is often unrecognized and infrequently treated in community college students. Since students with disabilities including ADHD are more likely to attend a 2-year rather than a 4-year college and to drop out before graduating, this article describes current conceptualizations of adult ADHD for community college social workers, psychologists, faculty, counselors, and staff. It presents counseling and educational interventions, which can result in greater academic success and an increase in self-esteem for individual students, as well as an increase in retention rates for the college.     

One of the Boys?

This article argues that American media reports of the Jessica Lynch case illustrate some of the ways in which gender has been reordered, policed and disciplined within the United States (and North America more broadly) in the wake of 9/11 and in the context of war. The study of a key gendered representation of the war – and of the way gender interlocks with race, class, nationality and sexuality in these representations – tells us not only about how the war was sold to the American public, but also about the degree to which normative and disciplinary gender roles can be stretched, or not, within domestic society and the ways in which contemporary media portrayals of foreign adventures serve to reinforce these gender norms. Ultimately we argue that media portraits of Jessica Lynch demonstrate how little the simple inclusion of women in the military acts to disrupt sexist systems of power and meaning.     

Technology and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: An Interactive Self-Help Website for OCD

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a neurobiological illness characterized by unwanted thoughts and/or images followed by repetitive rituals. About 5 million Americans live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. OCD is a manageable illness when proper interventions are utilized. Treatment for OCD is limited due to the lack of adequately trained professionals and the high costs of treatment. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in conjunction with exposure with response prevention (ERP) is the most effective intervention modality available for OCD. To address the treatment gap, an online, interactive self-help website was developed for those living with OCD without access to an effective intervention. This report will explore development of the OCD Challenge website and future implications of its use.
